Wicked is a new spin on an old tale, transporting audiences to Oz for a side of the tale that no one ever suspected. Since opening in 2006 the musical has won a total of 8 awards from Whatsonstage.com Awards. for two years now the musical Wicked has been voted 'Best West End Show' in London. this award-winning show is full of humour, sometimes whimsical sometimes biting, fantastic scenery and wonderful music.

Wicked centres on the Wicked Witch taking the audience back to her university days and telling her tale. whoever thought that friendship could bloom between witches from opposite sides of the track. And perhaps the wicked witch is not as wicked as she seems. When Glinda, pretty and popular, and Elphaba a green nonconformist must room together life gets interesting. the show follows their adventures and misadventures as they travel the separate paths they have chosen. It is a tale of sacrifices made for the sake of gaining popularity and power, and the importance of remaining true to yourself, and the power of friendship, however unlikely that friendship is.

The venue for this crowd pleasing show is the Apollo Victoria Theatre, glowing neon green accents bring the theatre to life and create the atmosphere before visitors even step in the theatre. the polished marble, granite and chrome of the theatre give it a very modern feel. the theatre has seating for 2300, and the Stage recently named it London's 'Most Comfortable Theatre'. Wicked is good for audiences young and older; however, it is not recommended for children under 8. And Apollo Victoria Theatre does not allow visitors under the age of 4.
