Pakistan has a very rich culture comprised of influences of mixed cultures. The past has shown that many people came in the sub-continent and left their influences like the Persians, the Arabs, Mongols and various other who somewhat added their culture and values which has given mixed culture to Pakistan today. As paye and lassi are two most traditional food items but other than that milk, butter, ghee, rice and chapatti are must in every home. Religion The highest rate is of Islam as a religion in Pakistan and was the basis of its establishment too. Other than that Pakistan also gives total freedom to other religions like Christianity and Hinduism. There are numerous numbers of masjids, churches and mandirs where people are free to pray and worship without any limits. Festivals The culture of Pakistan is based on the culture of Islam. Around the year, two festive are celebrated among the Muslims of Pakistan and the world i.e. Eid-Ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitar. Other than that the month of Ramazan, basant, Eid-Milad-un-Nabi are also celebrated at an extensive rate. Social Values Brotherhood, fraternity, honesty, loyalty are some of the social values practiced in Pakistan. Language The national language of Pakistan is Urdu. Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Pushto and some other are spoken as second languages. English is used in government offices and as medium of communication. Male oriented Society Pakistan is a male oriented country where men enjoy more freedom than women. But with time, women can now work outside to boost up their careers not just because they have to earn for their families. Fine Arts and Architecture The architecture of Pakistan is rich in designs and value. It has a touch of Mongols, mughals, sultans, Persians and the Arabs. Tourism Pakistan is a beautiful country and a resourceful creation of God on the planet. It has got various marvelous places to visit that attracts many tourists around the world and is much cheaper to spend a vacation with your family.
